About Paintwork

Before you do anything, check the colour code for your paint. This is stamped on a metal plate usually under the bonnet. If you're not buying from an official car parts dealer, you'll need to know the manufacturers name for the paint colour as well as the year the car was made. However for the best match you should always buy paint from an official dealer.

You can buy touch up paint in two ways – a stick or a spray can. Sticks are easy to use – they're a small canister of paint, with a brush built into the lid. Sprays can be less accurate so mask off any vulnerable parts before you start.
